DBS offers ADF Training to SAA officers on new approach in loan handling
In line with the commitment made by
Minister for Agriculture; Mr Bastienne to revive the Agricultural sector and
facilitate access to lending under the Agricultural Development Fund (ADF
Scheme) , Development Bank of
Seychelles( DBS) met
with the Seychelles Agricultural Agency (SAA) on Tuesday
25th of September 2018 at its headquarters
(Creole Spirit Building) to facilitate a short training
to understand the first process workflow for a loan under the ADF Scheme ie. Collection of documents and
submission of loan application that will now be handled by SAA instead of
DBS.
This
is in anticipation of creating a speedier process whereby farmers will now work
with SAA officer instead of DBS officer to gather all documents that are
required to process the ADF loan application. The duly completed
application will then be forwarded to DBS for processing and disbursement.
The session was held in the presence of
the CEO of SAA, Mrs Linetta Estico, Mrs. Sara Estico the Senior Economist at
the Ministry of Fisheries & Agriculture and other official from SAA that
will be responsible to meet with the farmers. The training was
facilitated by Ms Rana Fernandes the Head of Credit and Mrs. Samira Marie the
Customer Service Officer.
